1. MLA salary in Delhi: In the bill cleared by the Assembly, the MLAs salary (basic) will rise from current Rs 12,000 to Rs 50,000 and their overall monthly package will be around Rs 210,000 as against Rs 88,000 at present. In an important recommendation, the bill also provides for a 10 per cent hike in the basic salary, Rs 5,000 per month, after every 12 months, from the date on which new salary and allowances come into force. MLA salary in Delhi: The MLAs salary who occupy top offices (Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Chief Whip and the Leader of Opposition) will be around Rs 80,000 and their total emoluments nearly Rs 367,670 as against Rs 120,000 now. The overall hike proposed for MLAs is two-and-a-half fold, while for Ministers it would be a three-time increase.
