<br>Maruti SUzuki Manesar plant temporary workers too demand wage hike</br> <br>Temporary workers at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant today protested in front of factory demanding hike in wages, a day after the management signed a three-year settlement with permanent employees. According to sources, around 300 temporary workers, who came for the first shift in the morning, came out shouting slogans demanding wage hikes similar to those given to the permanent employees. The company's management reached on Thursday a settlement with permanent workers of Gurgaon and Manesar plants, including those of Suzuki Powertrain, over increasing wages by Rs 16,800 per month spread over next three years. At present, there are about 1,000 temporary workers at the Manesar plant, which had witnessed a violent worker unrest in July 2012 and killing of an HR manager. (26/09/2015) (PTI)</br>

<br>AP CM's Chandrababu Naidu assets valued at Rs 42.4 lakh at last fiscal: Son</br> <br>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's net assets stood at Rs 42.4 lakh as on March 31 this year, his son N Lokesh said today. Declaring the family assets, Lokesh said they collectively hold about Rs 46 crore worth of net assets in various forms as on March 31, 2015. He, however, did not answer the query on the income that the family members have received from the assets. he Chief Minister had last year declared his personal assets valued at Rs 70.69 lakh. The pledge is part of a United Nations effort to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030. "When people have access to the tools and knowledge of the Internet, they have access to opportunities that make life better for all of us," said a declaration signed by Zuckerberg and Bill and Melinda Gates, who have devoted their wealth to philanthropy. "The Internet belongs to everyone. It should be accessible by everyone," the declaration said. <br>CREDAI NCR not to buy cement from Ultratech, Lafarge</br> <br>Real estate developers body CREDAI's NCR chapter has decided against buying cement from Ultratech and Lafarge, alleging that the firms are indulged in cartelisation and malpractices. "This decision has been taken by the apex realty body in order to help fair price determination of key raw materials required for the realty sector," the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) said in a statement. "Till now, education policies were prepared by some persons at the national level, but people at ground level were never asked," she said. Irani said that on how new education policy should take shape, she was holding meetings with education minister of every state and district magistrates. "Till now plans were framed at national or state level. From education point of view if we prepare district-wise plan then the systemic change we want can be achieved," she said. <br>Suzuki sells 1.5 pct VW stake to Porsche, to book $300 mln gain</br> <br>Suzuki Motor Corp said it has sold its entire 1.5 percent stake in Volkswagen AG to Porsche Automobil Holding SE and will post a special profit of 36.7 billion yen ($304 million) on the transaction. The Japanese automaker said on Saturday that it had sold 4,397,000 Volkswagen common shares and that they would be transferred on Sept. 30. Porsche said on its website that its holding in Volkswagen would increase to 52.2 percent after the transfer. Suzuki has already bought back a 19.9 percent share of its own stock that Volkswagen was ordered to sell by an international arbitration court last month, ending a long-running dispute between the two after a cooperative agreement between them turned sour. <br>Sun Pharma says US FDA denies approval to sell epilepsy drug</br> <br>Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (SPARC) said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has denied its application for approval to launch a new anti-epilepsy drug, citing manufacturing quality issues at its production site. The company, the research arm of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd's, India's largest drugmaker, had received final approval from the FDA in March 2015 to sell the drug, Elepsia XR. The drug was to be manufactured at Sun Pharma's Halol plant in the western Indian state of Gujarat.
