Samsung India launched the Galaxy A7 at the Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok on Monday. The phone, which sports a full metal unibody design and delivers a superior selfie experience, has a large 5.5-inch full HD super Amoled screen and is a 6.3-mm thick ultra-slim device.
Priced at Rs 30,499, it is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, and runs on the Android KitKat operating system.
Galaxy A7 is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera and an advanced 5 MP front-facing camera with advanced selfie features. It is supported by a 16GB memory and a 2GB RAM with a 2,600mAh battery.
The device also features ‘Always Clear Voice Auto Control’ to reduce noise from the surrounding environment.
Launching Galaxy A7, Asim Warsi, vice-president, marketing, mobile & IT, Samsung India, said, “Galaxy A7 is a combination of stylish metallic unibody design with powerful performance and premium user experience.”
Along with Galaxy A7, Samsung India launched three other smartphones — Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G and Galaxy J1 4G.
All three devices run on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) OS. While the company is yet to announce the prices of Galaxy Grand Prime 4G and Galaxy Core Prime 4G, it has priced the J1 at Rs 9,990. All the three models are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.
The Galaxy J1 and Galaxy Core Prime LTE have a 5 MP primary camera and a 2 Mp secondary camera. They sport a 4.3-inch and 4.5-inch screen, respectively.
“Samsung Electronics will drive the next step of Smartphone evolution and offer a comprehensive portfolio of quality 4G LTE enabled devices and propel the next wave of business and economic growth,” said Warsi.
The company also launched a range of B2B offerings for enterprises — government and corporate — at the Southwest Asia Forum in Bangkok,
Thailand. It also launched the Galaxy Tab Active, designed particularly for enterprises, which is priced at Rs 52,000 in India.
