Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services company, is back in the spotlight as the countdown for the Q2FY26 results season begins. Investors are not just waiting for the numbers in this upcoming Q2FY26 result, they are also looking out for a possible interim dividend.
Let’s take a look at what to expect and the key factors to consider as Infosys prepares for Q2 – one of the first ones in the list of IT sector stocks to declare numbers.
Will Infosys announce dividend in Q2?
One of the key things investors will be watching out for in Q2 from this IT behemoth is whether Infosys will declare an interim dividend for the quarter.
As the company noted in its filing, “The board will also consider the declaration of an interim dividend, if any.”
When will the Q2 results be announced?
Infosys has scheduled a board meeting on October 15 and 16 to approve its financial results for the July–September quarter. The results will be presented to the board on October 16 for approval.
As stated in the company’s exchange filing, “Approve and take on record the audited consolidated financial results of the Company and its subsidiaries as per Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2025.”
Following the company’s previous result announcement, the results are expected to be released after market hours (post 3:30 PM).
Investor and analyst calls
After the results are approved, Infosys will host investor and analyst calls on October 16. These sessions offer detailed insights into the quarter’s performance, margin trends, and strategic outlook. Specific timings and participation details will be published on the company’s official website.
What to watch in the Q2 numbers
Looking at Infosys’ Q1FY26 financial health, it reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,921 crore, up 8.7% from Rs 6,368 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations rose 7.53% to Rs 42,279 crore, from Rs 39,315 crore in Q1 FY25. The company had expanded the lower end of its FY26 guidance. It would be interesting to see if there is any additional commentary on the guidance and also the US tariff impact.
For Q2, investors will focus on revenue growth across domestic and international clients. Some of the other key things that will be in focus include margins and cost management, updates on large deals, digital services, cloud, AI initiatives and much more. The company’s plan in the light of the hike in the H-1B visa fee is also a key monitorable.
Infosys share performance
In the last six months, Infosys share price has fallen nearly 6%, and on a yearly basis, it has tumbled 21%. Overall, the stock has declined about 20% so far in 2025.
