Gold and silver rates today, October 10
The 24-carat gold rate in India was quoted for a price of Rs 74,920 per 10 grams on October 10. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,492. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 68,677 per 10 grams.
“The US yields are a tad lower, though the ten-year yields continue to hold above the key psychological level of 4%. The US Dollar Index is firmer as it has staged a strong recovery from the support level of 100. Gold’s upside is likely to be capped unless geopolitical tensions flare up further or the US yields dip significantly,” said Praveen Singh, Associate Vice President of Fundamental Currencies and Commodities at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas.
The rate of 24-carat gold has fallen by 1.6% in the last week, and the yellow metal has fallen by 0.8% in the last ten days. The silver currently quotes at Rs 88,920 per kilogram.
