YouTube plans to incorporate generative AI on its platform using Gemini AI. According to Creator insider, which is a YouTube channel, YouTube aims for enhancing content creators’ experience.
Currently YouTube is experimenting to add Gemini AI to help creators get ideas for creating videos, suggestive headlines, thumbnails and much more.
YouTube to introduce ‘Brainstorm with Gemini AI’
YouTube, the Google-owned company, announced the launch of the new feature named ‘Brainstorm with Gemini’ in a video posted to its Creator Insider channel. As mentioned in the video YouTube started testing the feature in May. With the proposed feature content creators can get new prompt on trending ideas. The feature aims to keep a track on users’ choices, most searched topics, most watched videos and much more.
However, as of now the feature is available to selected creators as a part of a limited experiment, a YouTube spokesperson told TechCrunch. So, how does the new feature work? You can access the new feature (if involved in the experiment) by entering a video idea into the search bar within YouTube Studio. Next you will get two options. This include:
- The inspiration tool
- The “Brainstorm with Gemini” feature
If you click the ‘Brainstorm with Gemini’, you will get different prompts, concepts, trend notes, and thumbnail suggestions. Notably, these suggestions are based on Google Search activity. This can eventually offer creators insights to improve their content and gain more audience. Also, this could provide the audience with a more personalized experience.

The spokesperson explained that YouTube will consider feedback from creators ‘before deciding to roll out the feature to a larger audience.’ He also mentioned that many creators are now focusing on AI-backed content ideas.
The way ahead
Back in May YouTube had introduced another AI feature which is an AI-powered content inspiration tool. The tool can provide creators with video topic ideas that their audience is interested in. The tool then generates an outline of talking points to jump-start the creation process.
Additionally, a few days ago YouTube Music was testing a generative AI feature that could allow you to enter a prompt to create a custom radio. With the new feature you can ask AI to create a radio channel as per your preference.
