Poco X7 series launch: 7 things to expect from Poco X7, Poco X7 Pro
As is usually the case, Poco has already teased many hardware specs of the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Pro leading into today’s launch. Broadly speaking, the Poco F7 Pro is expected to be based on Redmi Turbo 4, which was recently launched in China. The Poco F7 is likely to be based on the Redmi Note 14 Pro, launched recently in India.
Here are 7 things you can expect from the Poco F7 and Poco F7 Pro:
- Aggressive pricing: Poco is known for its competitive pricing, and the F7 series is expected to continue that trend. The Poco X7 Pro will be priced under Rs 30,000, Poco has confirmed. The X7 Pro price in India is consistent with last year’s Poco X6 Pro. Pricing details of the Poco X7 aren’t out yet but we can expect it to be priced lower than the X7 Pro. The Poco X6 came in 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB for Rs 21,999, Rs 23,999, and Rs 24,999, respectively.
- Durability: Poco has teased a few features including curved display and “unparalleled” durability with IP69 rating among other things for the Poco X7. The Poco X7 Pro should be IP65 at least.
- Powerful processor: The Poco X7 Pro is confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor with a powerful “all-big-core” architecture. It will be one of the most powerful smartphones under Rs 30K, that is for certain. The Poco F7, per reports, is getting the Dimensity 7300 Ultra.
- HyperOS: The Poco F7 Pro will be the first smartphone to India to launch with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The Poco F7’s software pick remains a mystery, but if it is anything like the Redmi Note 14 Pro, it should be running version 1.0 of HyperOS with Android 14 below. We’ll see.
- Large battery: The Poco F7 Pro is confirmed to come with a massive 6550 mAh battery in India. The global model is coming with a slightly smaller 6000 mAh.
- Focus on gaming: Poco often targets gamers with its F series. And so, we can expect features like improved cooling systems, gaming-centric software optimisations, and high touch sampling rates for a responsive gaming experience on the Poco F7 series.
- Iron Man twist: In select markets, Poco is also launching the Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition with a custom design inspired by the Marvel superhero. Poco has remained tight-lipped about the India release.
