The upcoming Poco X7 Pro will be priced under Rs 30,000, Poco has announced. The reveal which comes just days ahead of the Poco X7 series launch event on January 9, confirms two things. The X7 Pro price in India is consistent with last year’s Poco X6 Pro. Secondly, it is cheaper than the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, which starts at just over Rs 30,000.

For those unaware, the Poco X6 Pro was launched at a base price of Rs 26,999 for 8GB/256GB and went up to Rs 28,999 for the 12GB/512GB variant. Considering the long list of upgrades promised, Poco’s decision to not increase prices, is something fans and enthusiasts would appreciate. The phone in question is powered by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor with an “all big core” CPU and packs a massive 6,550 mAh battery. Poco claims the choice of chipset makes the X7 Pro the most powerful phone under Rs 30K segment.

Pricing details of the Poco X7, which is launching alongside, aren’t out yet but we can expect it to be priced lower than the X7 Pro. The Poco X6 for reference came in 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB trims for Rs 21,999, Rs 23,999, and Rs 24,999, respectively. It was Rs 6,000 cheaper than an equivalent Redmi Note 13 Pro, a phone it shared most of its hardware with. The Poco X7 maybe priced lower than the Redmi Note 14 as well. But we’ll see.

The Poco X7 Pro is shaping up to be an aggressively priced high-performance package deal and if it is anything like the X6 Pro, Poco has its work cut out to make record sales once again. It appears to be loosely based on the Redmi Turbo 4 which is launching first in China on January 2, which is when more details about the X7 Pro should also become clear. With several high-end features including a 50MP OIS camera, it seems geared to take on the likes of OnePlus and Realme, while giving Redmi a serious run for money. Watch this space for more details.
