Motorola has officially unveiled its latest addition to the mid-range Neo series phones dubbed as the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, in India. This device is notable for its MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and IP68 water and dust resistance, positioning it as one of the most durable smartphones under Rs 25,000 in the Indian market.

The key specs of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo include a MIL-STD-810H certification, designed to withstand various environmental stresses including extreme temperatures, shocks, and vibrations. The phone also holds an IP68 rating, indicating resistance to dust and submersion in water up to 1.5 meters. It has a slim profile, weighing 171 grams and measuring 8.1mm in thickness, and is finished in vegan leather.
The new Moto phone sports a 6.4-inch Super HD LTPO pOLED display with a resolution of 2670 x 1220 pixels. It supports HDR10+ and offers a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The display also features a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visual performance.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is equipped with a motoAI-backed 50MP main camera using the Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, along with a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom and 30X AI Super Zoom. It also includes a 13MP ultrawide camera. The front-facing camera is 32MP, supporting high-resolution selfies and 4K video recording. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It comes with 4310mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone is said to offer up to 34 hours of battery life.
The new Moto Edge 50 Neo runs on Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI. The company promises five years of OS upgrades and security updates. The device also includes features such as Dolby Atmos-enhanced stereo speakers and various Moto apps for enhanced functionality.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo will be available in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will be sold at an effective festive price of Rs 22,999. The phone will go on open sale starting 24 September 2024, and will be available through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and at major retail stores. An exclusive one-hour sale will take place during a live commerce event on Flipkart on 16 September 2024 from 7 PM to 8 PM.
