Mahindra XEV 9S 7-Seater Electric SUV Launched in India: Mahindra has rolled out the all-new XEV 9S, its first electric SUV with three rows in India, starting at Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the XUV700’s platform but re-engineered as a full EV, the XEV 9S expands Mahindra’s electric lineup, which also includes the XEV 9e, BE 6, and XUV400.
Mahindra XEV 9S – Exterior Highlights:
The 2025 XEV 9S adopts a clean, modern EV look with a sealed front fascia, signature L-shaped LED daytime running lamps, vertically stacked projectors, and a sleek LED light strip across the nose. Other notable touches include aerodynamic alloy wheels, flush door handles, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, and Mahindra’s dedicated EV badging on the front and rear.
Mahindra XEV 9S – Cabin and Features:
Inside, the electric SUV offers a spacious seven-seat layout complemented by a large panoramic sunroof. The dashboard hosts three connected displays, while rear passengers get their own screens. Premium touches include a Harman Kardon audio setup, a powered Boss mode for the second row, a flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, auto-dimming IRVM, powered tailgate, a front trunk, reclining middle-row seats, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. All seats come with individual headrests.
Mahindra XEV 9S – Battery and Performance:
Under the skin, the XEV 9S uses the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery options seen on the BE6 and XEV 9e. Both deliver 380Nm of torque, while the smaller battery produces 228bhp and the larger pack generates 282bhp.
Mahindra XEV 9S – 70kWh Variant:
Mahindra has also added a new 70kWh configuration paired with a single motor that produces 241bhp and 380Nm. This version can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed seven seconds.
