The iQOO Z9 5G officially launched in India today, per schedule. Follow-up to the iQOO Z7, the Z9 bring a bunch of “segment-first” specs including a 4-nanometre MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor and 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with optically stabilised lens, all at a price of less than Rs 20,000.

Running the show is Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 with iQOO promising two major OS and up to three years of security updates. Powering the package is a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
For photography, the iQOO Z9 has a dual camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS. It is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. Joining it is another 2-megapixel portrait camera. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.
The iQOO Z9 has a plastic back and a plastic frame. The phone weighs 188g and measures 7.83mm. IP54 splash resistance is available. The phone will come in a choice of green and blue. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. The phone also bags dual speakers.
