Apple fans won’t have to wait too long for the next iphone. Since there are rumors already about the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Both of these devices are expected to launch at Apple’s usual September event in 2026. Early leaks suggest these models could bring some of the most notable upgrades in years, from design changes to performance boosts.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Clean New Look

One of the biggest talking points around the iPhone 18 Pro series is its front design. Apple is reportedly moving the Face ID system under the display, which means the signature Dynamic Island cut-out could disappear. Instead of the familiar pill-shaped notch, the front camera may sit in a small hole in the top-left corner, giving the screen a more seamless appearance.

Despite this fresh front look, the rear of the phones is expected to feel familiar. The classic triple-camera cluster will remain though with a few refinements. Apple is also testing new colour options, including deeper hues like burgundy and purple.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Improvements in Cameras and Performance

Camera upgrades could be a major selling point this time around. Leaks suggest that at least one rear lens might get a mechanical iris, a feature that would allow the aperture to change like in real cameras. This could mean better control over photos in tricky lighting conditions something smartphone shooters love.

Under the hood, Apple is expected to debut its new A20 Pro chip, reportedly built on a cutting-edge 2nm process. This chip could bring stronger performance and better efficiency compared with earlier models. Apple may also integrate RAM directly onto the same chip, which could boost speed and reduce heat.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Bigger Battery and Faster Connectivity

Battery life might see a solid boost, especially in the Pro Max model. Early reports suggest Apple may fit a larger battery into the Pro Max, potentially around 5,100mAh. That could make it the longest-lasting iPhone yet though heavier too, possibly tipping past 240 grams.

The Pro Max may also get Apple’s next-generation C2 modem, which could bring back mmWave 5G support and help with faster connectivity where networks allow it.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Display

Display sizes are likely to stay the same as the current generation: about 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max both expected to feature smooth 120Hz refresh rates.

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max Price

On pricing, there’s no clear picture yet. Apple could stick with similar price tags as the iPhone 17 series, but some analysts think advanced tech might push costs a bit higher.

Overall, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max look poised to be more than just incremental upgrades. With design tweaks, strong performance gains, and smarter cameras, Apple could have a compelling new flagship on its hands.
