The iPhone 17 series is all set to debut in the global market in September 2025. The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to feature four variants: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notably, Apple is said to be discontinuing the iPhone 17 Plus, likely due to a decline in user interest and lower sales performance. Certain leaks have hinted that Apple may revamp the bottom portion of the iPhone 17 Pro models, incorporating a new blend of metal and glass in the design.

iPhone 17 Pro design:
Reliable Apple leaker Majin Bu has posted images that appear to feature a mock-up of the iPhone 17 Pro. The prototype reveals a redesigned camera module that spans across the width of the device, occupying almost the entire upper section of the rear panel.
As with earlier image leaks showcasing the expected design of the iPhone 17 Pro models, the newly surfaced dummy units also indicate that Apple plans to retain the existing camera ring arrangement for the upcoming successors to the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. The LiDAR sensor and LED flash appear positioned on the right side of the enlarged camera housing.
iPhone 17 Pro camera:
Apple is reportedly planning to upgrade the telephoto lens on the iPhone 17 Pro series to a 48-megapixel sensor. If implemented, this would mean all three rear cameras would feature 48MP resolution. Such an enhancement could lead to crisper image quality, better zoom clarity, and more refined detail in shots taken from afar. However, it’s still unclear whether Apple intends to revise the existing 5x zoom functionality in the Camera app.
iPhone 17 Pro performance:
Apple is rumored to be adopting a vapor chamber thermal management system for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, replacing the current graphite sheet setup used for heat dissipation. This transition would align Apple with several Android manufacturers who have already integrated this advanced cooling technology. The shift is believed to be driven by the thermal demands of the upcoming A19 Pro chip, which is expected to generate substantial heat during high-performance tasks such as AI computations and graphics-intensive operations.
iPhone 17 Pro India price:
Several elements are expected to influence the pricing strategy for the iPhone 17 lineup this year. Early estimates indicate that the standard iPhone 17 might arrive with a starting price tag of Rs 79,999, while the newly introduced iPhone 17 Air could launch at Rs 89,999. The iPhone 17 Pro is projected to cost around Rs 1,39,900, and the premium Pro Max model may be priced close to Rs 1,64,900. A slight uptick in pricing across the board is likely, primarily due to rising manufacturing and component costs.
