The iPhone 16 Pro Max is now selling at a reduced price, making Apple’s 2024 flagship available on Amazon for just Rs 1,31,900. At this lower price point, the device stands out as a solid choice, offering strong specifications along with Apple Intelligence features. However, with the iPhone 17 lineup expected to debut in September, the big question is — is it better to grab the iPhone 16 Pro Max now, or wait a little longer for the next-generation models?
iPhone 16 Pro Max base model, which comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is currently available at Amazon at just Rs. 1,31,990. This is significantly lower than the original price of the smartphone, that is Rs. 1,44,900, which makes it a flat discount of Rs. 13,000. Moreover, the credit card discount and exchange offers could bring the price of the smartphone to around Rs. 1,25,900.
iPhone 16 Pro Max Display:
The phone is equipped with a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR 10 support. Additionally, the device comes with 2000 nits of peak brightness in outdoor conditions. Add to it the 60 Hz refresh rate and oleophobic coating that prevents fingerprint smudges. The large size of the smartphone looks appealing however, its very subjective due to some people preferring smaller displays.

Should you buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max now or wait for the iPhone 17 Pro Max next month?
Reports so far suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro Max may not be a major overhaul compared to the iPhone 16 version. However, it could bring some meaningful upgrades, especially in terms of the display. Right off the bat, the design of the iPhone 17 Pro Max isn’t expected to change compared to the iPhone 16. It is expected to retain the same camera module, the Dynamic Island, and the aluminium-and-glass build.
