According to a screenshot shared by Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile developer “ The new early access feature will be accessible within Instagram’s settings menu.” However, not much is known about the new update yet. It seems like that this initiative will function just like WhatsApp’s beta program.
On WhatsApp, Meta had rolled out multiple beta versions of new features to a select group of users. This can allow the company to gather feedback and iron out any issues before a wider release. Testers will not only get a sneak peek at upcoming features but will also have the opportunity to request additional functionalities.
Earlier WhatsApp Beta testers have enjoyed getting new features before everybody else for years. “The company rolled out its Beta Testers program long back, and people who sign up get the latest updates for testing them out,” WhatsApp explains.
Instagram Update: Other features
Instagram is also reportedly working on an innovative feature that will allow users to create chat themes using artificial intelligence. Currently, Instagram offers customisable chat themes with colour gradients and pre-designed options.
However, a leaked screenshot suggests a new “Create with AI” option, is something that Instagram might be experimenting with. It is believed that Instagram plans to bring in AI-driven personalised or generated chat themes.
From what it is understood, Meta plans to focus more on AI and has recently integrated an AI chatbot across its platforms, including Instagram. The AI chatbot can guide you by answering queries on various topics, such as planning a trip, recipe commendations, and makeup and skincare tips. The feature will be powered by Meta AI and will extract information from Google. Furthermore, the chatbot will also provide answers along with links to the original sources and can be accessed through Instagram DMs.
