Mahindra XEV 9S 7-Seater Electric SUV Launched in India: Mahindra has just launched the XEV 9S, a 7-seater SUV in India. The brand new SUV is Mahindra’s first three-row electric SUV for the indian market. Additionally, this vehicle expands the Mahindra EV lineup that already has cars like XEV 9e, BE 6 and the XUV 400. According to several experts, this vehicle will be helpful for Mahindra to capture the increasing EV market share in India.

The Mahindra XEV 9S is based on the XUV 700 platform and has been re-engineered as an electric vehicle. It is a 7-seater SUV with three rows and starts at RS. 19.95 Lakhs (ex-showroom). This new offering from Mahindra will be competing with the Kia Carens Clavis, another dominant car in the 7-seater segment.

Mahindra XEV 9S- Exterior Highlights

The newly launched XEV 9S has a clean, modern EV look with a sealed front fascia, signature L-shaped LED daytime running lamps, vertically staked projectors and a sleek LED light strip across the nose. Other significant design features include Aerodynamic alloy wheels, flush door handles, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna and Mahindra’s dedicated EV badging on the front and rear.

Mahindra XEV 9S – Battery and Performance:

Under the skin, the XEV 9S uses the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery options seen on the BE6 and XEV 9e. Both deliver 380Nm of torque, while the smaller battery produces 228bhp and the larger pack generates 282bhp.

Mahindra XEV 9S – 70kWh Variant:

Mahindra has also added a new 70kWh configuration paired with a single motor that produces 241bhp and 380Nm. This version can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed seven seconds.
