In the midst of all the rumours and leaks surrounding the upcoming iPhone 17, Apple WWDC 2025 event, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and OnePlus 13s, the Google Pixel 10 has been kind of forgotten. Hailed as one of the most important launches in the year for Android devices, the Pixel 10 series is expected to bring big changes under the hood and upscale its features on par with the iPhone 17 and Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series.
The Pixel 10 series is expected to contain four models that succeed their predecessors from the previous year. These include the baseline Pixel 10, a more feature-loaded Pixel 10 Pro with more AI features and superior hardware, a bigger Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as the flagship with a folding display.
Out of the four models, it is the Google Pixel 10 that competes directly with the rumored iPhone 17 and it seems that Google is coming more aggressively for the new iPhone.
Hence, if you are interested in grabbing a new Pixel 10 this year, here is everything you need to know from the Pixel 10 leaks.
Google Pixel 10 expected launch date
Although the rumours had previously hinted at an earlier launch, recent updates now reaffirm Google’s plans to launch the Pixel 10 on August 13, 2025 – the same date as the Pixel 9’s launch last year. Thus, the Pixel 10 will launch much earlier than the rumoured Apple iPhone 17 and even the next-gen Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip flagships.
Google Pixel 10 leaked specs and features: Everything to know
Although the leaks on the newest Pixel are more limited than previous years, there’s still enough to give us a better idea about the handset.
The Pixel 10 will retain the design from the Pixel 9, continuing the same oval-shaped camera element and the boxy aesthetics with flat sides that made the Pixel 9 a hit. Unlike its predecessor though, there will be some changes to the camera setup on this handset.
It seems that Google will be reusing the main and ultrawide sensors from the Pixel 9a on the Pixel 10, thus marking it as a downgrade over the Pixel 9’s hardware. However, Google wants to add value by including a third telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom, thus making the overall setup more versatile for photographers and videographers. It should be noted that the Pixel 9a’s camera system is a good one, and we expect Google to do its software trickery to cover up the shortcomings.
TSMC-based Tensor G5 chipset
Then there’s the chipset that’s creating a lot of commotion on social media. The Pixel 10 could be the first Google phone in a while to come with a TSMC-built chipset. Google is rumored to ditch the Samsung foundry and go for TSMC’s fabrication for its Tensor G5 chipset that will be based on the 3nm process. The TSMC process could allow the Tensor G5 to be a lot more powerful and efficient than its predecessors, thus letting Google run more advanced generative AI features on the handset.
Android 16 and a new expressive UI
Although this one’s under doubt, rumours suggest that the Pixel 10 series could debut Android 16 and with it, a new interactive user interface. The new UI, which was shown at the Google I/O 2025, will have more spring-like animations, better typography and dynamic colour theming.
