If you are seeking to get free access to Google’s Gemini AI Pro, there’s good news – Google is giving it away for free! An annual subscription to Google’s Gemini AI Pro tier is being offered at no extra cost. Does the offer sound too good to be true? You are certainly right – the offer is limited to students only.
As part of a special promotional offer ahead of the college admission season, Google is giving away a year’s subscription to Gemini AI Pro for free to students. Eligible students with a SheerID can get a year’s subscription to Gemini AI Pro at no cost, thus allowing students to save up to Rs 19,500 in a year. The Gemini AI Pro costs Rs 1,950 on a monthly subscription basis.
However, this is a limited-time offer and hence, students need to avail the benefit by opting in for the free trial of Gemini AI Pro before September 15, 2025, post which the free access expires. For those who avail the promotional offer, access to Gemini AI Pro pack remains free until 1 year from the date of opting in – they will need to renew their subscription for another year by paying the full price. Students can also opt to cancel the subscription prior to the next billing date.

Free Gemini AI Pro for students: What does it bring to students?
The Gemini AI Pro plan, which is powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, includes a host of smart AI features designed to assist with academic and professional development. Subscribers will receive 2TB of cloud storage, alongside tools such as Deep Research, expanded limits within NotebookLM, and Gemini for Workspace – all of which seamlessly integrates with Google services like Gmail, Docs, and Sheets.
Students also get access to Gemini Live and Veo 3 video generation model.
Google says that students can use Gemini for “unlimited homework help, revise for exams and perfect your writing.”
How to get Gemini AI Pro for free
– Eligible students must visit gemini.google/students/?gl=IN
– Now, click on ‘Get offer’, then ‘Verify eligibility’. Students will need to provide their personal details and proof of enrollment, such as a school ID or a tuition receipt, for verification. The verification process is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
– Post verification, Google will ask for payment mode details in case they want to continue the service a year later.
– Post setup of autopayment, Gemini AI Pro will be activated for the linked Google account.
