As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to develop, experts bring a new AI model capable of predicting death. Named Death Clock is an innovative app making waves by offering users personalized life expectancy predictions through artificial intelligence (AI). But can it really predict death? Or it’s just another experimental AI tool. Let’s find out!
Understanding “ Death clock’
According to Sensor Tower, the app was launched in July and has already seen over 125,000 downloads. So, how does this tool actually work? The ‘Death Clock’ app uses AI to access data from about 53 million participants across 1,200 life expectancy studies. By analysing factors such as exercise, diet, sleep and stress levels, the app aims to deliver more precise predictions. These can show timings as in countdown left. The app claims to be more accurate and exact than traditional predictive AI models.
Furthermore, the AI then analyses these data sets to provide what impact the habits can have on you. Also, it can suggest areas where you need to improve. For example, you are being accessed and the AI finds that you are lacking a good sleep cycle. It will then suggest some ways to improve your sleep cycle.
Also the app has a different presentation, where it includes a ‘death-day card’ with the Grim Reaper and a countdown timer for the user’s estimated remaining time. As of now the app is not downloadable for users in India. However, you may still be able to find ways to use the app using technologies such as VPN.
Can AI really predict death?
Coming to the practical use of this tool, is it really feasible for practical usage? Some analysts suggest that this tool might help somehow to guide users in maintaining a healthy/balanced lifestyle. Suppose if you are getting to know that you will die within 10 years. You might start planning an investment plan for the upcoming years.
Another use case could be, the data can also predict the areas your health needs improvement. With this you can make changes in your eating habits or lifestyle. This way, you will focus more on improving your health. This will eventually benefit you and who can predict you might become a better version of yourself.
