Apple’s overseas suppliers have ramped up production of the company’s latest iPad models, a Bloomberg report cited sources familiar with the matter. These new iPad models are expected to be launched in early May.
The report further states that Apple initially intended to release the new iPads by late March or early April. However, the company is still in the process of finalizing the software for these devices, leading to a delay in the launch timeline.
The report further stated that the new iPad Pro models will feature Apple’s latest M3 chip. They will also come equipped with redesigned versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.
This update marks Apple’s first major revamp to the iPad lineup since 2018.
The report also mentions that the iPad Air will receive a new processor, along with changes to the 12.9-inch screen size.
Earlier, the tech giant announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 14. There have been reports suggesting Apple is in discussions for an AI partnership and might introduce substantial alterations to the iOS during the event.
