Bharti Airtel has launched a new Rs 398 prepaid recharge plan, designed to cater to users seeking a mix of connectivity and entertainment. The Rs 398 Airtel plan packs unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls, and offers 2GB of daily data, 100 SMS per day, and a 28-day subscription to Hotstar Mobile. Unlimited 5G date is available to eligible users.

“This addition reflects Airtel’s commitment to delivering more than just seamless connectivity, addressing the evolving entertainment needs of customers and enhancing their overall experience,” Airtel said in a press release.

Airtel’s Rs 398 plan seems like a direct challenger to Jio’s existing Rs 399 plan. Jio’s Rs 399 prepaid plan provides 2.5GB of daily data, unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, and a suite of bundled benefits, including access to JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud, for the same 28-day validity period. Though Jio offers more data, Airtel’s free Hotstar subscription could definitely be a crowd puller depending on user preferences.
