He was suffering from COVID-19 and had been hospitalised. The poet had himself tweeted this morning: “My coronavirus test was done yesterday after the onset of symptoms of Covid, and the result shows I am COVID-19 positive. I have been admitted to Aurobindo Hospital. Pray that I recover as soon as possible.”
Reacting to the news of Dr Indori’s demise, poet Kumar Vishwas in a tweet said that he had never thought that such a lively person would go in such a silence. Kumar Vishwas and Rahat Indori had performed many ‘Kavi Sammelans’ (poetry recitals) together. They both had also participated in a famous comedy show hosted by Kapil Sharma.
