A new eco-tourism attraction is about to debut in Noida, and it promises to be unlike anything the region has seen before. The highly anticipated Jungle Trail Park, a 20-acre ‘waste-to-wonder’ themed destination, is set to welcome visitors next month, with a trial opening scheduled for June 25, followed by an official inauguration in early July.
Developed by the Noida Authority in collaboration with private firm Z-Tech under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, the park has been constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore. Strategically located to attract visitors from Noida, Delhi, Greater Noida, and Faridabad, the Jungle Trail aims to offer an immersive, sustainable experience through art and innovation.
Final preparations are underway
While construction is largely complete, some final touches remain. The main entry gate, cafeteria, and paintwork are still in progress, according to officials overseeing the project. Deputy Director (Horticulture) of Noida Authority, Anand Mohan Singh, confirmed that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to be invited for the official inauguration.
What makes the Noida Jungle Trail unique?
What sets this park apart is its focus on sustainability and artistic reuse. Z-Tech Vice President Isha Chaudhary emphasised the project’s eco-conscious ethos, stating, “Every animal and artistic installation at the park has been designed using scrap materials like nuts, bolts, rods, chains, and fuel tanks. This reinforces our dedication to protecting the environment and our support towards the Swachh Bharat Mission.”
She added that the park will also offer a night-time Jungle Safari, featuring illuminated sculptures and ambient lighting to simulate a life-like nocturnal adventure. “All sculptures, gazebos, lighting fixtures, and furniture have been made using recycled and repurposed materials,” Chaudhary explained. “Nearly 500 tonnes of iron waste have been transformed into intricate installations, turning discarded metal into stunning visual experiences.”
What is inside the Jungle Trail?
The Jungle Trail is divided into four thematic zones, each representing wildlife from different regions of the world. More than 700 life-sized animal sculptures populate the park, offering a global tour of biodiversity, crafted entirely from scrap.
African Savannah: Encounter elephants, lions, and giraffes in this zone that brings the vast grasslands of Africa to life.
Asian Jungles: Featuring tigers, deer, and colorful exotic birds, this area highlights the diverse fauna of the Asian continent.
Australian Outback: Kangaroos and emus take center stage in this zone dedicated to the unique species of Australia.
Polar Regions: Visitors can step into icy habitats with realistic sculptures of penguins and polar bears.
Each zone is designed to provide an interactive and educational experience, especially for children and families looking to blend entertainment with environmental awareness.
