Scoop is based on the true events leading up to Prince Andrew’s explosive 2019 BBC Newsnight interview. The eyes of Britain were on journalist Emily Maitlis (played by Gillian Anderson) as she grilled the member of the British royal family (Rufus Sewell) about his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of Andrew’s sexual assault of a minor. The fallout was immediate, as Prince Andrew announced that he was stepping back from his public duties in the days following the broadcast. Directed by Philip Martin, the film is an adaptation of former Newsnight editor Sam McAlister’s book Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews.

Sugar is a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture and television history: the private detective story. Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried. The American drama series also stars Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Amy Ryan, Dennis Boutsikaris and Alex Hernandez, among others.

Wish focuses on a 17-year-old girl named Asha in the Kingdom of Rosas, who makes a passionate plea to the stars in a moment of need, leading her to meet a living, magic star which has fallen from the sky. Together they face up to the kingdom’s evil ruler, Magnifico. The 2023 American animated musical fantasy film, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, stars the voices of Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, Alan Tudyk, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Kumiyama and Harvey Guillén, among others. The art style of the film combines computer animation with the look of traditional animation.

The heist thriller film is directed by Soumendra Padhi and stars Alizeh Agnihotri in the lead role (for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut) with Ronit Roy, Sahil Mehta, Zeyn Shaw, Prasanna Bisht, Juhi Babbar and Shilpa Shukla. For those uninitiated, Alizeh Agnihotri is actor Salman Khan’s niece and Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Agnihotri’s daughter. Farrey is an official remake of the 2017 Thai film Bad Genius. It premiered at the 54th International Film Festival of India.

One Life is a biographical drama film directed by James Hawes. It is based on the true story of British humanitarian Sir Nicholas Winton as he looks back on his past efforts to help groups of Jewish children in German-occupied Czechoslovakia to hide and flee in 1938–39, just before the beginning of World War II. The film stars Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn as Sir Nicholas, with Lena Olin, Romola Garai, Alex Sharp, Jonathan Pryce, and Helena Bonham Carter in supporting roles. One Life had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023, and its European premiere at the 2023 London Film Festival.
