Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchchal‘s wedding, one of the most talked about nuptials of thenow stands indefinitely postponed amid a series of developments ranging from personal to sensational.
As Mandhana, one of the best women Indian cricketers, and Muchchal, a music composer geared up for their November 23 marriage ceremony, news of Mandhana’s father being admitted for heart attack like symptoms came out, which was followed by postponement of the grand event. It was then reported that Palaash was rushed to hospital too after experiencing “severe chest pain and breathlessness”.
In between these developments, reports of the cricketer deleting all her wedding-related posts started circulating. Also, screenshots of Palash’s flirtatious conversation with another woman Mary D’Costa, posted on a reddit thread, went viral soon after. While the post was deleted from the platform, the screenshots are still available online.
It is now being speculated that following the cheating rumours, the wedding has been called off. While Smriti’s father is back from the hospital, there has been no talk of a fresh wedding date so far.
It was later reported by media houses that Mary D’çosta is a Mumbai choreographer who was overseeing wedding performances and got involved with Muchchal.
Mary D’çosta breaks her silence
However, D’Costa has refuted reports of ever having an affair with Muchchal. She said that she only interacted with the music composer for a month and never met him in person.
D’Costa started making headlines after screenshots of her Instagram stories pertaining to her interaction with Palaash Muchchal went viral. However, she took to social media to clear confusion about her identity.
In her latest post, she clarified that she has never met Palaash, let alone getting involved with him, and that their interaction lasted for just a month.
The reason she says, she’s sharing her side now is her being referred to as the choreographer with whom Palaash cheated on Smriti.
Clarifying the timeline of her conversation with Palaash Muchchal, D’Costa wrote:
“First, the exchange of chats happened between April 29th and May 30th 2025, so the contact lasted for only one month. I want to make it absolutely clear that I never met him and I never got involved with him in any way.”
“People have been asking, ‘Why speak about this now?’ The truth is, I actually exposed him back in July, but no one really knew who he was at that time, so it went unnoticed,” she said.
D’Costa also cleared air on the confusion about her identity.
“There’s also been a lot of confusion about who I am. I want to clarify, I am not the choreographer, and I am not the person he cheated with. I’m saying this because things are getting mixed up, and I don’t want people assuming the wrong things,” she added.
