Udaipur is back in the global spotlight. The City of Lakes is set to host the wedding of NRI couple Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju.
With its mix of royalty, star performers and billionaire glamour, this wedding has quickly become one of the most talked-about events of the year.
Who are the bride and groom?
The bride, Netra Mantena, comes from a family deeply rooted in the global pharmaceutical world. Her father, Rama Raju Mantena, is the chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, a company with research and development facilities in the US, Switzerland and India.
Before Ingenus, he founded several major healthcare companies, including ICORE Healthcare, the International Oncology Network and OncoScripts.
When and where is the celebration?
With a family background like that, the wedding naturally carries an air of grandeur.
The celebrations on November 21 and 22 are spread across some of Udaipur’s most iconic luxury spaces including The Leela Palace, Manek Chowk, Zenana Mahal and Jagmandir Island Palace, the island palace in the middle of Lake Pichola.
City officials are on high alert as Donald Trump Jr, son of US President Donald Trump, is among the confirmed VIP guests. Charter flights, heavy security deployments and days of preparations have turned Udaipur into a bustling hub of high-profile arrivals.
Global performance and star-studded guest list
If the guest list is impressive, the entertainment lineup is even bigger. The celebrations opened with a high-energy performance by international DJ Tiesto, setting the tone for what is expected to be a star-filled wedding.
Reports suggest that Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber are part of the musical roster, along with Black Coffee, Cirque du Soleil and DJ Aman Nagpal.
Several Bollywood stars, including Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor and Nora Fatehi are expected to attend and possibly perform, making the festivities a rare blend of Hollywood glamour and Bollywood sparkle.
Canadian politician Ruby Dhalla shared a video from the venue, offering a glimpse of the welcome dinner, which featured Tiesto’s set and traditional Rajasthani dance and music.
The production is being managed by Wizcraft Weddings & Social Events, known for crafting large-scale, visually rich events.
Although the main wedding is scheduled for November 21 and 22, the full celebration stretches across four days. The haldi ceremony is planned at the Taj Lake Palace, followed by a glittery sangeet reportedly hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.
The mehendi ceremony will take place on November 22, 2025, with the wedding and reception scheduled for the next day.
The first glimpse of the wedding invitation came through Hollywood actor Oliver Trevena, who shared the ruby-red invitation box with the couple’s names embossed in elegant white script.
Just like every other element of this wedding, the invitation hints at luxury, precision and global influence.
The city is now under tight security with celebrities arriving for the festivities.
