TV actor Anuj Sachdeva, known for his role as Amrit Malhotra on Sabki Laadli Bebo, recently faced a harrowing incident where he was attacked by a resident belonging to the same housing complex as him.

The actor took to social media to share about the incident and posted a shocking video where the assaulter can be heard hurling abuses at the actor and seen attacking him violently with a rod while guards attempt to restrict him.

“He tried hitting my dog and me”

On Instagram, Sachdeva posted the video stating that it was evidence with the caption:

“I am posting this evidence before this person tries to do any damage to me or my property. He tried hitting my dog and me with a rod for notifying in the society group regarding his car which was parked at the wrong place in the society parking. Harmony mall residency. Goregaon w This person is from A wing flat 602.kindly share with ppl who can take action. I am bleeding from my head.”

The actor not only sustained injuries which resulted in him bleeding from the head but his dog was attacked as well with the assailant claiming that the dog had bitten him. The confrontation occurred as he had notified the society group that the man had parked his car in the wrong space.

The man could then be seen running after Sachdeva and attempting to hit him – first with his bare hands and then with a stray rod that he picked up on the premises.

Shock, incredulity and anger on behalf of the actor flooded his comments section as fans and well-wishers reacted to his distressing post which currently has over 22,000 likes and 2000 comments. Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, wife of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma commented, “Hope you are okay. He needs to be behind bars. These are the real threats to society. Please share this also on social media,” expressing her concern and indignation.

Actress Jaya Bhattacharya tagged the Mumbai police and commented, “@cpmumbaipolice this is the state of animal lovers unfortunately. Kind attention please.” while Ishitta Arun, daughter of singer Ila Arun commented, “@apnanuj are you ok ? Please update us. Praying for your safety 🙌 also we need to identify this man ! Anyone who knows pls tag or share widely.”

Most comments on the post ranged from urging the actor to file a police complaint against his assailant to offering their sympathies and outrage on Sachdeva’s behalf. As the matter progresses, attention will remain on whether the actor chooses to pursue formal legal recourse.
