The much-awaited film ‘Thandel’, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi made an exceptional debut on February 7, 2025, collecting an estimated Rs 10 crore net across India on its first day. As per latest information shared by industry tracker Sacnilk, the Telugu version has made around Rs 9.8 crore whereas the Hindi version has collected Rs 15 lakh and Rs 5 lakh has been garnered in Tamil category.

In the Telugu dominated region of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ‘Thandel’ saw a considerable occupancy rate. In the morning show, 47.04% seats were occupied and it also witnessed a little decline by 44.76% in the afternoon but later gained momentum in the evening show was 51.40% and reached 71.10% during the night shows. This robust regional performance highlights the movie’s mass appeal among the local audiences.

The film has received positive reviews for its captivating performances by its lead actors and because of its storyline. The movie also marked an impressive opening worldwide gross at Rs 27.27 crore on the first day, making it the highest opening for Naga Chaitanya movie till now.

Industry analysts anticipate that the film’s earnings could exceed Rs 25-30 crore because of the weekend and as well from positive feedback from word of mouth.

The movie is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and is produced by Bunny Vasu under the Geetha Arts banner. The storyline deals with an Indian fisherman from Srikakulam who gets caught in international waters. As the film is receiving favourable reviews, it can have a promising run at the Box Office.
