Raja Saab release date: Baahubali star Prabhas’ newest release, Raja Saab, is already making waves at the box office. All set to shine on January 9, it remains unparalleled after Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan’s postponed release. However, Raja Saab faced its own set of challenges with the Andhra Pradesh Government, which later agreed to the hiked ticket prices in the state.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Government’s latest directive, Raja Saab has been cleared to offer its tickets at as high as Rs 1000. This includes both premiere shows and regular shows, for the first ten days. In fact, Raja Saab will also be allowed to have a cap of five screenings a day during the period.

For audiences in Andhra Pradesh, Raja Saab’s premiere shows begin today, January 8, on Thursday. Ticket prices for these special screenings have a maximum limit of Rs 1000. However, for regular shows, starting January 9, on the worldwide theatrical release has also been revised. Raja Saab tickets in single-screen theatres will cost nearly Rs 297 per seat, as compared to the previous Rs 150.

For multiplexes across the state, Raja Saab ticket prices saw a hike of Rs 200, now costing Rs 377. The initial week of the theatrical release will have officially hiked prices, as per the permission sought by the Raja Saab makers.

According to Sacnilk, Raja Saab has grossed over Rs 8 crore across all languages for its opening day (with block seats). It has collected Rs 1.68 crore from Andhra Pradesh alone, with a fair share from Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and above all, Karnataka.

Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, also features Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Boman Irani, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. Raja Saab was initially announced in January 2024, but faced several obstacles in the way of its release. Finally, it is the single big release on January 9 amid Thalap[athy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan CBFC row.
