Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 4: Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s Param Sundari released last Friday with high expectations as a light, mainstream rom-com. Backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, known for Stree 2 and Chhaava, expectations were high. After a decent weekend, the film is now struggling at the box office.

On Monday (Day 4), Param Sundari collected just Rs 3.5 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. That’s a sharp drop of nearly 65 per cent from Sunday’s numbers, when the film made Rs 10.25 crore, its best day yet. The film had started off with Rs 7.25 crore on Friday and showed some growth on Saturday and Sunday before the slump hit on Monday. With this, the total box office collection so far stands at around Rs 30.25 crore.
Param Sundari vs other recent releases
The good news is that Param Sundari is doing better than some recent releases like Dhadak 2 (Rs 24.22 crore) and Maalik (Rs 26.36 crore). Its next aim is to cross the numbers of Deva, a cop drama that managed Rs 33.97 crore in its first few days.
But, the not-so-good news is that it’s nowhere near the sensational run of Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara. That film, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, became a box office storm last month. It raked in Rs 22.50 crore just on its first Monday and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within a week. In comparison, Param Sundari looks like it has a long way to go.
Box Office check: Sid vs Janhvi’s last films
For Maddock Films, this isn’t a big disaster, but it’s still behind their last romantic outing Bhool Chuk Maaf, which had made Rs 33.5 crore in four days and later went on to collect over Rs 75 crore.
For Sidharth Malhotra, the film is definitely an improvement. His last theatrical release Yodha (2023) only managed Rs 19 crore in its first four days. Janhvi Kapoor’s last outing Devara: Part 1 (Hindi version) collected Rs 31 crore in the same period, which means Param Sundari is just a little behind that mark.

Param Sundari is a cross-cultural love story between a Delhi boy (Sidharth) and a Kerala girl (Janhvi). The film also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Aakash Dahiya in important roles.
Sharing her thoughts about playing Sundari, Janhvi said, “Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by so much beauty, I felt a deep connection to her world.”
But despite the fresh pairing, the reviews haven’t been too kind. Critics feel the film falls back on stereotypes, the chemistry between the leads feels weak, and the story doesn’t really rise above average.
What’s next for Param Sundari?
Crossing the Rs 30 crore mark in just four days is not bad, but the sharp drop on Monday is a warning sign. With more films lined up in theatres, the coming weekdays will decide whether Param Sundari can recover or fade away quickly.
