Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has been unstoppable at the box office since its release on December 5. The Ranveer Singh-starrer has taken the world by storm, shattering previous records, including those set by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. The spy thriller has earned Rs 430.20 crore gross in India and Rs 120.50 crore gross overseas, taking its global total to Rs 552.70 crore gross as per Sacnilk.

Dhurandhar box office collection so far 

Domestically, Dhurandhar has also performed exceptionally well. On its opening day, as per Sacnilk the film collected Rs 28.60 crore nett in India, followed by Rs 33.10 crore nett on the second day. Day 3 saw an even bigger jump, with Rs 44.80 crore nett. Although collections dipped slightly to Rs 24.30 crore nett on Monday, they steadily rose throughout the week, with Tuesday bringing in Rs 28.60 crore nett, Wednesday Rs 29.20 crore nett, and Thursday Rs 29.40 crore nett. The second Friday of the film saw Rs 34.70 crore nett, continuing its impressive run.

The second weekend of Dhurandhar was big too as it earned Rs 53.70 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 58.20 crore nett on Sunday. This performance helped the film surpass Pushpa 2 to become the highest second-weekend grosser among Indian films. So far, the movie has raked in Rs 430.20 crore nett in India. Jio Studios’ official social media handle wrote, “The story of The Unknown Men is now known globally,” celebrating the film’s success.

Dhurandhar: Star cast and production

Dhurandhar has Ranveer Singh in the lead role, supported by Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and Soumya Trivedi. The film is produced by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under B62 Studios, in association with Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.

What is Dhurandhar all about? 

Dhurandhar is inspired by real events and tells the story of Mission Dhurandhar, India’s first major espionage operation following the 2001 Parliament attack. The plot follows intelligence officer Jaskirat Singh Rangi as he infiltrates the Lyari gang in Karachi, leading to a tense and thrilling battle of wits and strategy.

Bollywood stars react to Dhurandhar 

Bollywood celebrities have been full of praise for the film. Shraddha Kapoor called Dhurandhar a “phenomenal experience” on social media, urging the makers to release Part 2 sooner. She wrote that had she not had a morning shoot, she would have gone to watch it again.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu also expressed her admiration, saying on Instagram Stories, “Still buzzing after Dhurandhar. The big screen experience, the immersion, the thrill. And Ranveer Singh… Unreal. Every department is in perfect sync. Just stunning to watch. Biggest congratulations to Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt. Never stop surprising us.”
