Family Man Season 3 X reviews: ‘You’re in for a surprise’

As Srikant Tiwari battles against time for the third season of The Family Man franchise to protect his country, he balances carefully between saving his marriage and a hostile co-worker. The real power-packed face-off between Ahlawat and Bajpayee has left the viewers stunned and waiting for more.

As the season gets mixed reactions, a review on X reads, “Finished 4 Eps of The Family Man 3: From too much information overload, to a still confused & smart Srikant Tiwari to a dull act by Jaideep Ahlawat, to a confident Nimrat Kaur, this season is plain BORING! Too late until it gets engaging & the title of the show is justified.” On the other hand, several netizens have labelled the new season as ‘watchable’, but it surely falls comfortably within expectations.

“The Family Man Season 3 is very watchable and delivers much of what fans of the series expect ..solid performances, gripping action, family drama,” wrote a user on social media. However, they also felt that it “falls slightly short of being exceptional, especially compared with the earlier seasons,” where Srikant battles terrorists and tigers.

Five years into the franchise, the seven-episode series is available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The overall feeling of wanting more has been echoed in several reviews on social media. “It was good, but could’ve been better. This time, Srikant Tiwari nailed his role as the wanted man but fell a little short as the family man,” read a review which praised the cameos of actors bringing star power to the new season.

Missing Bajpayee on screen after Netflix’s Inspector Zende, a fan wrote, “Family Man Season 3 is watchable mostly due to Jaideep Ahlawat. Jaideep has a better role than Manoj Bajpayee in Season 3. Manoj’s character doesn’t have enough screen time in this season.”

At the same time, fans who have finished the series felt that the ending did not satisfy the viewers. “It didn’t sit right…I expected something more solid,” were common responses that circulate on the Internet. “Started on a strong note with 2 amazing eps, but somewhat lost steam in the latter ones before picking up again from the 6th. The grounded approach felt missing & things also get superficial after a point, but I was still engaged,” summarised a review.
