Sushant Singh Rajput has undergone a special training at NASA space camp at U. S. Space and Rocket Center in Alabama for his upcoming movie, Chanda Mama Door Ke, film critic Taran Adarsh shared this information on Twitter today. Taran tweeted, “Sushant Singh Rajput to undergo special training at NASA’s Space & Rocket Center… Enacts the part of an astronaut in #ChandaMamaDoorKe… ”

Directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, the film scheduled to release on 26 January 2018. The film also features R. Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. Sushant and Nawaz are said to play astronauts in the film while R. Madhavan plays a test pilot.

Chanda Mama Door Ke is the first Indian space adventure film, inspired by the 1968 Hollywood movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey which was directed by Stanley Kubrick. The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer is expected showcase the journey of Indian space programs, giving a glimpse of how the first Indian astronaut landed on the moon.

Sushant is doing training in Dubai for zero gravity and underwater diving scenes. His training started in January this year. The technician of the Hollywood movie, Apollo 13, which was also a science fiction film, has been hired to work for Chanda Mama Door Ke. Graphic designer John Palmer, who provided special effects in various Hollywood space adventure films, has designed a special 11-layer space suit for Sushant.

Produced by Viki Rajani, Chanda Mama Door Ke is set to give each Indian a thrill, given the training the actors have received. Seems like, the makers of the movie are spending not just money but a lot of effort in making the film a success.
