After scripting a success story on box office for 31 days, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is finally showing signs of slowdown, with its collections dropping to single digit, and even below Rs 5 crore mark on its fifth Monday. As per the rough data posted by trade website Sacnilk, the film garnered Rs 4.5 crore at the box office, registering its biggest dip of 64.71%. Last time the film recorded single-digit earnings was on Friday when it collected Rs 8.75 cr which was still closer to the Rs 10 crore mark, but marked a 44.44% decline.
While traditionally Mondays are not the best for film performances and weekends are more encouraging, the Aditya Dhar film maintained steady collections on all days since it released on December 5, eating into the earnings of all big and festive releases of the past month be it Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri or Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
Dhurandhar wave coming to an end?
While it’s too early to say that Dhurandhar’s dream run is over, the film’s single-digit collection on its fifth Friday and Monday is indication that the trend will continue on weekdays. However, there is no denying that it will not be an easy task to beat the record-breaking innings at the box office. Movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote how the Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna-starrer became the first Hindi film to achieve the historic milestone of Rs 800 crore.
Dhurandhar worldwide collections
The Aditya Dhar film continues to break records globally as the latest overseas collection trends show the film has earned over $31 million, and with that its worldwide earnings now stand at Rs 1215 crore, as per Hindustan Times. This is despite the fact that the film didn’t release in Middle East. The film has surpassed lifetime collections of Sultan ($29.8 million) and Pushpa 2: The Rule ($31 million), worldwide.
Dhurandhar vs Ikkis
Sriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis has been an underperformer at the box office. The last cinematic outing of Dharmendra and the debut film of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, opened at the box office on Thursday, January 1, 2026, with Rs 7 crore collections. However, the earnings dropped 50% to Rs 3.5 crore on Friday. While the movie showed signs of recovery on Saturday (Rs 4.65 crore) and Sunday (Rs 5 crore), the first Monday has seen a sharp decline with the film barely crossing Rs 1.35 crore earnings.
