During its third term, the Modi government will focus on creating more employment in the Media and Entertainment industry, said Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw during an event on Saturday.

“We will be focusing on creating more employment in the Media & Entertainment industry,” said Vaishnaw at the curtain raiser for WAVES 2024.

“Employment in the media and entertainment industry stands at roughly around 25,00,00 today,” the minister added.

Vaishnaw informed that Modi 3.0 will be “making some structural efforts” to increase jobs in this sector.

“Our effort has to be to increase it significantly and to increase it significantly, we will be making some structural efforts and making some process efforts,” the minister stressed.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Saturday Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked about job creation.

He said that in the last three to four years, the creation of eight crore new jobs has silenced those spreading fake narratives about unemployment.

PM Modi, while quoting a recent Reserve Bank of India (RBI) report on job figures, said that in India, skill development and employment are needed and his government is working in this direction.

The PM said this while speaking at an event in Mumbai’s Goregaon suburb. He was in the commercial capital of India to inaugurate/lay the foundation stone of projects worth 29,000 crore rupees in road, railway, and port sectors.
