This year, the all-India rank 1 was shared by 67 students. With the Supreme Court’s decision to accept only one accurate answer for each question, the revised results will reflect these changes. Consequently, the 44 students who previously scored 715 out of 720 will now be ranked after those who scored 720 and the 70 students who received 716 marks out of 720.

This year, 24,06,079 candidates registered for NEET UG, with 23,33,297 appearing for the exam. Of those, 13,16,268 qualified the medical entrance test. Data from the NTA on June 4 revealed that among the qualified students, 5,47,036 were male, 7,69,222 were female, and 10 were transgender. NEET UG 2024 registrations increased by 16.85 percent compared to last year, when 20.59 lakh candidates registered.
All first-year students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs at Delhi University, including foreign students seeking admission for the 2024-2025 academic session, will experience a fee hike.
The new fee structure, effective from the academic calendar beginning in August, was approved by Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh in June.

A delegation from the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday, met with the chairman of the Centre's high-level exam reform panel to present their suggestions for enhancing the National Testing Agency (NTA). The recommendations were submitted in a letter to panel chairperson K Radhakrishnan.
The ABVP proposed several reforms, including conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) in two phases, similar to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). They also recommended developing advanced infrastructure for examinations, establishing exam centers in government institutions, and ensuring adequate staffing with permanent employees at the NTA.
Additionally, the ABVP emphasised the need for administrative reforms within the NTA to enhance transparency and restore students' confidence in the agency. They suggested that OMR sheets for the exams be made available on the NTA website.
ABVP national general secretary Yagywalkya Shukla highlighted that over the past two weeks, the organization has consulted students across various disciplines—including humanities, medical sciences, and engineering—to compile a list of 42 suggestions aimed at reforming the NTA. These suggestions have been formally submitted to the high-level committee overseeing the reforms.
