Delhi School Calender 2024: DoE releases admission schedule for Nursery to Class 12

Delhi School Calendar 2024: The Government of Delhi’s Directorate of School Education has unveiled the yearly school schedule for the 2024-25 academic year, applicable to both government and government-aided schools across the capital city. As per the Department of Education (DoE), the upcoming academic term is set to begin on April 1, 2025.

The preparation of the annual school calendar for Delhi involved thorough deliberations within the Delhi Education Department, engaging all deputy directors of education and representatives from the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) on February 1, 2024, to streamline the admissions process.

Delhi School Calendar 2024: Nursery Admission Schedule 

The Department of Education (DoE) has released the admission schedule for nursery to class 12. The application process for Delhi Nursery, KG, and Class 1 Admission 2024 will close on March 15, 2024. Subsequently, results and waiting list will be announced on March 22, 2024. For students seeking admission against vacant seats, the process will be conducted on a first-come-first-serve basis starting from April 22, 2024.

Delhi Admission Schedule 2024: Class 6 to 9

The registration process for classes 6 to 9 will be organized in three phases. The “plan admission” phase is scheduled from April 1 to May 10, 2024, while the “non-plan admission” will occur in three cycles.

The DoE has directed the heads of schools to submit applications received between July 20 to July 26, 2024, for Class 9 admissions to the respective Deputy Director of Education (Zone) before July 27, following the verification of documents. Additionally, admissions under the RTE Act for classes 6 to 8 will remain open throughout the year at the Head of School level. Delhi Admission Schedule 2024: Class 10 to 12

Interested candidates are encouraged to review the non-plan admission process for Classes 10 to 12 for the academic session 2024-25. Meanwhile, the admission procedure for Class 11 will commence following the declaration of the Class 10 results for the academic year 2023-24.
