The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, in the presence of School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, will declare the TN HSC Class 12 results 2025 today. The announcement will take place at the Anna Centenary Library in Chennai. Once released, students can access their results through official portals results.digilocker.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

The Tamil Nadu Class 12 results will be declared today (May 8) at 9 am. Students can access their results on the official websites — dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

To download the TN HSC +2 scorecard, students should visit the website, click on the “Examination Results” section on the homepage, and select the relevant result link. They must then choose their stream — Arts, Science, Commerce, or Vocational — and enter their registration number and date of birth to view and download their marksheet.

The Tamil Nadu Class 12 board exams were conducted from March 3 to March 25, 2025, across all major streams Science, Commerce and Arts. The exams were carried out smoothly under DGE’s supervision at various examination centres statewide.

To view their results, students will need to enter their registration number and date of birth on the result website. The digital scorecard will include essential information such as student name, roll number, subject-wise marks in both theory and practicals and overall result status pass or fail.

The provisional marksheets can be downloaded immediately but students must collect their original marksheets from their respective schools in the coming days. For those who fail in one or more subjects, the DGE will conduct supplementary exams in June 2025. Results for these compartment exams are expected to be declared in July.

In 2024, the overall pass percentage for the Tamil Nadu Class 12 board exams stood at 94.56%, marking a slight improvement from 94.03% in 2023. A total of 7,60,606 students appeared for the exam last year. Girls continued to outperform boys, with a pass percentage of 96.44% compared to 92.37% among boys.
