Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a virtual interaction session with the students appearing for their exams this year. PM Modi said that he had a strong urge to meet his young audience but had to ‘leave behind’ that chance due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. PM Modi said that the root cause of the exam fear among the students was the pressure created by others. He said that all parents must see that the exams are not the ultimate parameter of success in life and help their children in ‘enjoying the exams’ rather than fearing it. In his success mantra, PM Modi told the students to not avoid the challenges of tough subjects and should face them. The children must understand that everything is not for everyone.

On ‘facing the fears’, PM Modi spoke about his days as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He said that he always used to discuss the most difficult issue first thing in the morning. The reason behind this practice was the way a fresh mind approaches a problem. He said that the most difficult questions can be attempted if your mind is not cluttered. A fresh start is always a good start. Giving an example of India’s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar, PM Modi said that she has also perfected her art after so many years of ‘riyaaz’ and perseverance.

PM Modi also had a special message for the teachers. He said that teachers should try to motivate students instead of always pointing out their mistakes. For students, he said that they should utilise their ‘free time’ and cultivate some passions that will help in building their personalities. PM Modi said that be it students or their parents, everyone should look beyond the marks and see the exams as a way to prepare for a long battle called life.
