The Indian Navy has issued an open call for Trade Apprentices at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam. Candidates who are interested and qualified can apply online at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in before January 1, 2024.
As per official reports the exam will be conducted on February 28 to fill 275 Apprentice posts of different disciplines like Fitter, Mechanic (Diesel), Electrician, Painter (General), Machinist, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance and others.
Selection will be based on a written exam held across the country on February 28, 2024. Candidates will be shortlisted for written exams based on their SSC/Matriculation and ITI marks in a 70:30 ratio, and a merit list will be created. A full selection method can be found in the brief notification.
The official schedule reports that the result of the written examination will be declared on March 2 and only qualified candidates will be sitting for the interview round that is scheduled on March 2 to March 5, 2024.
Eligibility
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) states that there is no maximum age limit for apprenticeship training. Candidates must be at least 14 years old, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years old for hazardous vocations. Additionally, candidates must have completed SSC / Matric / Std X with a minimum aggregate percentage of 55%. Candidates must have completed an ITI (NCVT/SCVT) with a minimum aggregate of 65%.

Stipend
