Greatify, a technology-enabled ed-tech company, claims to establish a paperless atmosphere within both schools and the higher education ecosystem. The company claims to offer diverse hardware and software solutions, encompassing smart boards, ManageX (an ERP system tailored for schools) and a Learning Management System (LMS), among others. Furthermore, Greatify aims to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the educational framework, to automate tasks performed manually by teachers, such as grading, timetable creation and exam management, Dinesh Kumar Poobalan, CEO, CTO, Greatify, told FE Education. “The AI system is designed to generate timetables within minutes, digitise exams and provide automated evaluations, complete with reasoning. By automating administrative responsibilities, teachers can redirect their focus towards enhancing the learning experience for students. Ultimately, the goal is to empower teachers to deliver better learning outcomes by relieving them of routine tasks and encouraging more engaging educational practices,” he said.

The company has reported a 78% decline in its sales or supply of services from Rs 40 lakh in FY22 to Rs 8.42 lakh in FY23.  Additionally, the company’s net loss increased  15% from Rs 38.66 lakh in FY22 to Rs 44.55 lakh in FY23, as per regulatory filings accessed by business intelligence platform, Tofler.

Presently, the operations of Greatify are confined to India. However, it plans to extend its reach to Dubai within this month. The company claims to have conducted preliminary research on its prospective clientele, paving the way for its expansion efforts. “Our primary focus is on establishing offices in Dubai and the United States (US). These two regions are currently at the forefront of our expansion strategy,” he added.

Greatify states that its primary current obstacle lies in the abundance availability of ERPs and LMS in the Indian market, thereby leading to heightened competition. “To address this, our focus is on advocating and delivering a unified solution, positioning ourselves as a comprehensive one-stop platform for schools striving for excellence,” Poobalan said.  Furthermore, the secondary challenge involves the necessity of training teachers to adapt to the technology and software they offer.  The company claims that addressing these challenges is crucial for its success. “Our company has a dedicated training division that works closely with educators to elevate their expertise in utilising technology, automating processes and ensuring the seamless integration of our solutions into educational institutions. Successfully overcoming these challenges demands not just effective market positioning but also a steadfast commitment to delivering top-notch training and services to schools and colleges,” he added.

As AI stands as the latest innovation. Greatify plans to launch an automated placement management system named ‘PlacementX’ this month. Through PlacementX, the company aims to streamline the placement process in schools and universities by recording the data of different students into the system, students get automatically selected by the recruiters based on what is the skill set they have. “Following this, our focus is on achieving more profound integration. Our current system is equipped with features such as exam and resume building. The next phase entails the incorporation of personalised learning for students into the system,” Poobalan explained.
