The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education and Secondary Education Departments have entered into a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EMBIBE, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered learning platform, to expedite the realisation of Nipun Bharat objectives in Uttar Pradesh. EMBIBE was selected due to its interactive content library and AI-driven personalisation, aiming to enhance classroom teaching, student learning, and overall learning outcomes in Science, Math and Social Science across more than 55,000 schools, according to an official release.

The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government is making significant investments in implementing 40,000 smart classrooms in upper primary schools, establishing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Labs at 880 block-level Block Resource Centers (BRCs) and distributing 2,09,863 tablets to each primary school (two per school). These initiatives are poised to revolutionise the educational landscape in the state, making education more accessible and engaging for the youth of UP, the release mentioned.

“Building an ed-tech platform and content capable enough to help realise the scale of the UP Government’s vision of Nipun Bharat has been a personal lifelong dream and possible only through 11 years of unwavering commitment. We will ensure the innovation and adaptation needed to achieve last-mile impact. We are also very excited to collaborate with the dedicated and able teams at the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Madhyamik Shiksha who have worked tirelessly on the ground thus far,” Aditi Avasthi, founder, CEO, EMBIBE, said.

The MoU signifies a commitment to delivering high-quality digital education in line with the NEP guidelines in UP. EMBIBE’s AI-powered content and self-learning apps, accessible even with limited internet, will enhance smart classrooms. Engaging content, virtual experiments and tracking student outcomes are set to transform education in UP, all aligned with the state’s syllabus and available in Hindi, it added.
