CUET PG 2024: A remarkable 4,62,725 candidates have registered for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2024, setting a new participation record. Among them, 4,62,587 are unique identifiers. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the final preparations for CUET PG 2024, scheduled from March 11 to March 28. An interesting trend highlighted by NTA data is the higher number of female registrations compared to males, consistent with previous years. Out of the total, 2,47,990 are female candidates, 2,14,587 are male, with nine registrations under the third gender.

This year’s figures continue the trend of higher female registrations observed in previous years, reflecting a more balanced gender participation in higher education admissions. In 2022, female candidates outnumbered males, a shift from the inaugural year of CUET PG, according to the data.

Additionally, 179 universities across India have committed to allocating merit-based seats for CUET PG 2024 qualifiers. This diverse group includes central, state, deemed-to-be and private universities, showcasing CUET’s broad impact on higher education admissions.

Prominent universities such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University are embracing CUET. However, some like Jamia Millia Islamia are still finalizing their stance on CUET implementation for all courses. Despite partial adoption in the previous academic year, Jamia is considering integrating CUET comprehensively into its admission process.
