Unlike last time, the CBSE made the class Xth announcement without any meme. Some students did take to social media and questioned why CBSE looked ‘so serious’. This year, the CBSE class 10 passing percentage stood at 99.04 per cent. Among the district-wise rankings, Trivandrum topped the national tally with an impressive 99.99 per cent! However, due to some issue with the academic records, the class 10th results of some 16,000 students were yet to be prepared. The CBSE has said that the results of such students will be announced at later date. While there was a marked jump in the passing percentage as compared with the last year, over 17,000 students have been placed under the compartment category. These students will need to sit for an offline-mode exam on August 16, the CBSE said.
