CAT Result 2025 Login iimcat.ac.in: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has declared the CAT 2025 results on its official website, iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the Common Admission Test can now access and download their scorecards by logging in using their credentials. The release comes weeks after the provisional answer keys and response sheets were made available, allowing candidates to estimate their performance.
The CAT 2025 scorecard contains scaled scores and percentiles, which are normalised to account for variations across different exam slots. It provides a detailed break-up of section-wise performance, including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability. While sectional scores are important, the overall percentile continues to be the key metric used by management institutes for shortlisting candidates.

The scorecard includes essential details such as the candidate’s name, registration ID, roll number, exam slot, sectional scaled scores, overall scaled score, and overall percentile. These normalised percentiles are used by IIMs and other participating institutes during the shortlisting process.
CAT result 2025: Score vs percentile explained
In the CAT examination, scores and percentiles represent different aspects of a candidate’s performance. The score refers to the raw or scaled marks obtained in each section and overall, whereas the percentile indicates relative performance compared to other test-takers. For instance, a candidate with a 95 percentile has performed better than 95 per cent of all examinees. Since percentiles factor in slot-wise difficulty variations, they are considered more reliable for ranking and selection.
CAT scorecards released: What lies ahead
With the CAT 2025 results now declared, the admission process enters its next phase. The IIMs and other B-schools will soon announce their shortlist criteria based on CAT percentiles, academic background, and work experience. Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for Written Ability Tests, Group Discussions, and Personal Interviews.
This stage will assess candidates beyond academic performance, focusing on communication skills, clarity of thought, and overall personality. Aspirants are advised to regularly check official websites of the respective institutes for updates related to shortlists and admission schedules.
