N. Manikandan, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mohan Babu University, recognised among the top 2% of global scientists in the world list released by Stanford University for 2023, as per the official press release.

Stanford University, USA, has released the list of the World’s Top 2% scientists in all fields. The ranking relies on the bibliometric information in the Scopus database encompassing 2,10,000+ researchers globally from a pool of around 9 million scientists. The evaluation considers 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields to determine this list. Notably, 4,635 researchers from India are included in this ranking, the statement added. 

As per the institute,  Manikandan’s impact in Mechanical Engineering is evident through his portfolio, including 99 indexed publications, nearly 1000 citations and H-index of 16, and the creation of 12 patented designs.
