Amity University, Noida, UP, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sekisho Corporation Japan with an aim to establish the Japan Desk at Amity University to help students in getting the placements spportunities in Japanese companies, stated the official release.

The Japanese delegation was led by Mesaki Seki, president, Sekisho Corporation and the other members comprised of Kiyotoshi Araki, corporate planning chief, Sekisho Corporation, Masafumi Handa, Do Thi Thu Thuy and Eshna Sachdeva from Corporate Planning Team, Sekisho Corporation.

Under the MoU, Amity claims to provide the device and network environment as necessary and cooperate with Sekisho Corporation for the smooth functioning of the Japan Desk online, outlined the releaase.

“The warm welcome received at Amity is truly unique and special as I have never experienced such a grand and heartwarming welcome. In Japan 80% of the population goes to universities and only 20% go for jobs after school. The MoU signing ceremony is extremely significant and is of a large magnitude, marking the beginning of fostering close ties with India,” Mesaki Seki, President Sekisho Corporation, Japan, said.

Also, the Japan Desk will try to serve as a point of contact for Amity students who want to find employment with Japanese companies. It will also serve as a point of contact for the Japanese companies that wish to hire Amity students and will manage career-related events. In addition, it will help in facilitating the exchange programs with universities in Japan and promote Japanese language courses, read the official statement.
