The Delhi Police Special Task Force arrested Sanjeev Jain, managing director and CEO of Parsvnath Developers Private Limited, after a 60-kilometer high-speed chase that ended at the Delhi International Airport.

Upon arriving to arrest Jain, he allegedly tried to flee the scene, which lead to the chase that ended with his eventual arrest.

“Jain was arrested on Saturday by the STF team of Shahdara from the IGI airport following non-bailable warrants issued against the CEO for his inability to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary said, as quoted by PTI.

On July 18, the Joint Registrar of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission issued a non-bailable warrant against Jain. This action stems from a dispute initiated in 2017 when complainants Rajat Babbar and another party filed a complaint against Jain.

At the Shahdara Police Station, Jain had at least four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant pending.

“Four non-bailable warrants and one bailable warrant from the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission were pending at the Shahdara police station against Jain,” the statement said. Jain was presented before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on Sunday.
