Counting of votes took place on June 4, 2024 for the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal across 55 centres in the state. The state, which went to polls in seven phases in the Lok Sabha elections, has the third-highest number of constituencies at 42. Although a part of the Opposition INDIA bloc, the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC has decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the state alone, thereby paving way for a three-cornered contest between the NDA, INDIA coalition and the TMC.

Mamata Banerjee-led TMC won 29 seats in West Bengal and BJP won 12 seats, and Congress won one seat, data from the Election Commission of India showed.
TMC candidate Azad Kirti Jha won from the Bardhaman-Durgapur constituency by over 137981 votes. Jha polled 720667 votes, while BJP candidate Dilip Ghosh polled 582686 votes. He was defeated by a margin of 137981 votes.
TMC candidate Arup Chakraborty won from the Bankura constituency by over 32,000 votes. Chakraborty polled 641813 votes, while BJP candidate Subhas Sarkar polled 609035 votes. He was defeated by a margin of 32778 votes.
TMC candidate Abhishek Banerjee, who is also the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, won from the Diamond Harbour constituency by over seven lakh votes. Banerjee polled 1048230 votes, while BJP candidate Abhijit Das polled 337300 votes. He was defeated by a margin of 710930 votes.
TMC leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee says that she is happy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led didn't get single majority.
"Now they need to beg Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu. But I know these people very well," she said.
"I can assure that they can't break INDIA coalition," she adds.
Trinamool Congress takes massive lead in West Bengal, as of Election Commission of India data. As of 10.52 AM, TMC is leading in 21 seats, BJP in 11 seats, while Congress in two and CPI-M in one seat.
In West Bengal, the Mamata Banerjee-led party has taken massive lead. The TMC has taken lead in 27 seats so far. Congress has taken lead in 14 seats, while Congress in one seat, as per trends, according to News18.
From the Diamond Harbour constituency in West Bengal, TMC Abhishek Banerjee leads with 9,638 votes, while BJP candidate Abhijit Das (Bobby) is trailing with 931 votes, as of Election Commission of India data, as of 9.46 AM.
TMC candidate Sayani Ghosh is leading from Jadavpur constituency in West Bengal bagging 4,409 votes. BJP's Anirban Ganguly is trailing by a margin of 1,777 votes, as per Election Commission of India data as of 9.30 AM.
Mahua Moitra, contesting from Krishnanagar constituency in West Bengal, is leading as per early trends.

There are 394 strongrooms, 55 counting centres, and 418 counting halls, equipped with a total of 4,944 counting tables set up for the West Bengal Lok Sabha elections. The fate of 507 candidates will be known through an average of 17 rounds of counting, with a maximum of 23 rounds anticipated.
The Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal were conducted in seven phases. The first phase was on April 19, while the final and seventh phase concluded on June 1. Counting of votes started at 8 AM on June 4, and the results will be revealed on the same day.
