Jhalrapatan Results 2023 LIVE Updates: As the Bharatiya Janata Party cruised to victory in Rajasthan, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday said the state’s people have rejected the “misgovernance of Congress” and shown acceptance to BJP’s ‘suraaj’. Raje, who won the Jhalrapatan assembly constituency by a margin of 53,193 votes, also said that the people have given a chance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to serve them in 2024.

According to the Election Commission’s website, the BJP leader has secured a total of 1,38,831 votes. Raje attributed the BJP’s victory in Rajasthan polls to BJP president JP Nadda’s skilled leadership and the dedication of party workers.

“This is victory of people of the state who have rejected Congress’ misgovernance and accepted BJP’s ‘suraaj’ (good governance). Also, this victory gives a chance to Modi ji to serve the people of the country in 2024,” Raje told reporters at her residence here today.

In 2018, Vasundhara Raje secured a victory in Jhalrapatan, continuing her electoral success. This trend was evident in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, with the BJP candidate leading from the constituency. The former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje, has been a dominant force in Jhalrapatan, winning four consecutive terms and serving as a Member of Parliament five times from Jhalawar.

Previous Assembly election in Jhalrapatan

Rajasthan Assembly elections on Nov 23

In a notable shift, the 2023 assembly elections in Rajasthan saw more women turning out to vote than men. Women registered 74.72% voter turnout, slightly surpassing the 74.53% recorded for men. This shift highlights the increasing involvement and influence of women in the state’s political processes.

The Election Commission of India has set December 3 as the date for revealing the results of the Rajasthan Assembly elections. The outcome will determine the future MLA of Jhalrapatan and the winning candidate’s role in shaping the legislative agenda.

As the anticipation builds, constituencies like Sardarpura, Tonk, Jhalrapatan, Nathdwara, Jhunjhunu, Jhotwara, and Churu remain in the spotlight, each playing a crucial role in shaping the political landscape of Rajasthan. Sardarpura, in particular, holds significance as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has held the seat since 1998.
